Santiago, the city where I live

Hi! I will talk about the city where I live, Santiago. Well, I think that it's a beautiful city, above all in winter, how I love to see the city with the snowy mountains!

Santiago is the main city and capital of Chile. My country is ubicated in the south of South America. The founders were Spanish Conquistadors in 1541. Inicially, the city was founded as crossing point, to rest for the long travel from Peru and stock up on. Concepcion, another city in the south of the country, was the capital, but due to the fire and repeated attacks from Mapuche, the Spanish Conquistadors prefer to establish the capital city in Santiago.

Actually, Santiago has 5.428.590 inhabitants. I think that people from Santiago have low self-esteeme. I am happy living in this city and I usually thinks that it's a beautiful city, but people who live here usually think that Santiago is disordered, ugly, monotonous. Maybe, their lifes are this way, in spite of wonderful economic rates, there are social and cultural problems that affect to many people (long times of travel, tiredness for the work, little time for share with their families...).

I want to be happy in my future too, I want to enjoy my city (or another place where I would live) and to show its beauty. I will share with you some of my photos of Santiago.

My love for digital cameras!

Good morning! I want to talk about my favourite piece of technology. I always think that I am like an old man because I don't like cellphones or smartphones, I really don't know about how to use its! (Well, I have a basic cellphone that I use only for send and receive messages...and I don't want to change it).

Technology is a broad concept, in that sense I would talk about subway, trains and everything that are means of transport but...no. I want to post about digital photo cameras. When I save money, one of the few things in which I could spend it is a digital camera.

When I was a teenager, I entertain myself seeing photos about transport and landscapes. So, one of my dreams was to take my own photos about it and try to be the best photographer of this subject! (It's sound like Pokemon hahahaha).

Sorry if I bore you with my photos... but, hey! I love to do it and I want to transmite this love! I begun to achieve my dream when I was 13. I use an analogic camera and my photos are really bad (I am very selfcritical) but I loved it. With more experience and best cameras, I evolutioned and my photos progressed.

Now, I like to take photos about transport, but also I like other subjects. Landscapes, cityscapes, conceptual and artistic photos. Try to say something with it! Try to emit a message that make happy to other people. People also remember good memories when see photos, or they experiments sweet emotions when they see something important or quotidian in their lifes.

Digital cameras are really useful, although we could think that it isn't. With its big memories capacity (more than 36 photos) and the possibility of upload to the PC, you can save money and take more photos! Photographies has not only a recreational purpose, it is used to preserve our memories and transmit our feelings. When you see old photos, you remember vacations, journeys, good days, stories... I think that it is more useful, I could use it to be more happy.

And well... it is useful to have good moments and to do portraits of the people you love.
